Deluxe fantasy role playing dice roller that actually rolls dice!

Features:
- All the standard dice shapes (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20)
- Exotic dice shapes (d14, d16, d18, d24, d30, and now d48, d60)
- Specially marked dice for d100, d1000 and dice for FUDGE
- "Relabelled" dice to simulate d1 (binomial 0 or 1), d2, d3, d5, d7, d9, and averaging d6 dice.
- Richest dice formula language available:
- Add, subtract, multply, divide dice results and constant values
- Modify dice results to take the highest N dice, lowest N dice, etc... (making it trivial to do "roll 4 six sided dice, keep the 3 highest" = "4d6H3")
- Includes support for Storyteller style "count dice greater or equal to a given threshold, subtracting any 1s from that" (so a dice pool of 5 with a target number of 8 is "5d10tn8")
- Open ended (aka "exploding") dice
- Fully customizable list of "favorite" dice formulas (edit, add, delete, reorder)
- Multiple background, dice textures
- Choose between single colored dice, or multi-colored
- Free-form mode lets you add/remove dice, ignore certain dice, or "hold" others such that they remain where they are when you reroll.
- Shake your phone to roll (or just tap the "reroll" button for secret rolls)
- Organize all your settings into multiple "game rooms" allowing you to easily switch between different gaming styles
- Character sheets integrated into the Dicenomicon - keep track of your characters abilities, stats, rolls, etc... No more erasing holes in your paper character sheets!
- Browse PDFs and more in the background behind your dice
- Dropbox support to make it easier to share game data between devices

Pros and cons of The Dicenomicon app for iPhone and iPad

The Dicenomicon app good for

Ive been using The Dicenomicon happily up to the last update but now, it simply crashes on launch, on iPad or iPhone with latest version of the iOS 6. Please fix this bug ASAP as it is very distressful to play without your app...
Really good. Ok, the dice sometimes get a little kick out of nowhere, but the customisation possibilities are awesome! But how can a create critical hits?
I really have to say that this is a great tool for the gaming table. Many options and a great interface. There is one grain of salt as far as I am concerned, though: there is supposed to be character sheet support in there, and I cannot find out how to use it. It is way too technical for non-programmers, at least that is how it seems. It was one of the factors for purchasing the app, so right now I am not using it at its full potential. That does not subtract from the fun of using it though, since you can throw together a sort of tablet for different characters, adjusting the dice rolls as needed, so that when the DM or GM asks for a certain roll you just have to press one button to get it, no manual calculations needed. Thanks for this great app, and heres hoping that the character sheet will be integrated much more elegantly later on. Keep up the good work!
More expensive than the excellent (but stripped down) Dice Daemon, this full featured program is one of the top two RPG dice rollers on the iPhone! I particularly like the pre-done equations for common systems, and the high level of customization. Excellent graphics round out this Cadillac of RPG tools! Great buy!
Love the major amount of customization of this app. Worth the price.
This is, hands down, the best dice app around. It is versitile yet simple and is perfect for any purpose, from board games to an infinite range of RPGs. Its high level of in-depth customization makes it perfect for anyones needs. If you have ever rolled a die you will love this app!

Some bad moments

I think this program has a lot of potential if only I had a computer science degree. All of the formulas are made up of building block codes that cannot be broken up. This would be great if they werent presented in coding language. If you are not fluent in coding language, these blocks dont make sense and you cannot take them apart to see how they function. If youre going to use preset coding blocks where the user only has to enter in values, use common language. If youre going to use coding language, dont use preset coding blocks. Also, the help file is long winded and often either uninformative or inane (a dice rolling app with d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and more?! Wow! :| )
I honestly hate giving this app a 1 star. However the 3.0 update not only erased all my old favorite rolls, but also made rebuilding those same formulas impossible so far. All i wanted was to be able to have 2 d20s roll separately for two attacks and their included damage rolls. Every time i try to build that roll in the editor it changes it to something else nothing like what i wanted. Even following the guides on the help section dont work. The formulas presented in the descriptions cannot be entered in the current editor of 3.0. I was using this as my only dice source for roleplaying, its so unusable now ive gone back to real dice. Please help us either by backing up to the previous version since most of us who updated cant go back, or fix it. I love this app, please make it work again.
Works great as a dice roller, gorgeous to look at and fun to play with. Very adaptable too, but although it had an option for Pathfinder rules set it doesnt load. If this is fixed itll be perfect.
It looks great, looks powerful. Says I can add a 2d6+4 to the dice bar. I do add it, it works briefly...showing a roll of 3, adds the plus 4, displays 7. But after a few rolls, it suddenly decided not add the plus 4 on any rolls The roll becomes a simple d6, without adding the plus 4. Restarting program does not fix it. Deleting program now, wishing I had my cash back.
I am so tired of this app. I have to go into the XML myself and fix the fact that Dex isnt calculated right. Initiative doesnt work right. The setup is so complicated that it makes it almost impossible to use in a game setting. Sure, I can spend a few hours setting up the app for a game, but I want to use this app in a game, not as a puzzle. Recent update gave me hopes that they would fix some of the problems. Nope.
I dont know how many times I have reported the problem setting a custom d4. Perhaps itll get noticed here.
