Very slow now...

Very, very slow since the latest updates... I am seriously considering to stop using it. Even the splashscreen now takes longuer, and you have to display it each time you switch from your favorite pdf reader for sourcebook to your dicerolling tool... Dices are nearly too slw now for it t o be usable... Used to be a must have application for RPGist !

critical hit

works fine now, great app !

Latest update crash on iOS6x

Ive been using The Dicenomicon happily up to the last update but now, it simply crashes on launch, on iPad or iPhone with latest version of the iOS 6. Please fix this bug ASAP as it is very distressful to play without your app...

Real nice Tool

But of needs some tweeking. The dices dont Roll natural. It looks like they are made of rubber when they jump. Some more ideas: how about Dome marbel textures and ag Sound. Other then that real nice. Especially the function to create your own dice set. Pretty handy for roleplayer.

Best Dice!

Really good. Ok, the dice sometimes get a little kick out of nowhere, but the customisation possibilities are awesome! But how can a create critical hits?

A Great Tool

I really have to say that this is a great tool for the gaming table. Many options and a great interface. There is one grain of salt as far as I am concerned, though: there is supposed to be character sheet support in there, and I cannot find out how to use it. It is way too technical for non-programmers, at least that is how it seems. It was one of the factors for purchasing the app, so right now I am not using it at its full potential. That does not subtract from the fun of using it though, since you can throw together a sort of tablet for different characters, adjusting the dice rolls as needed, so that when the DM or GM asks for a certain roll you just have to press one button to get it, no manual calculations needed. Thanks for this great app, and heres hoping that the character sheet will be integrated much more elegantly later on. Keep up the good work!

The dice roller RPG fans deserve

More expensive than the excellent (but stripped down) Dice Daemon, this full featured program is one of the top two RPG dice rollers on the iPhone! I particularly like the pre-done equations for common systems, and the high level of customization. Excellent graphics round out this Cadillac of RPG tools! Great buy!

Best dice app ever!

Love the major amount of customization of this app. Worth the price.

A must have for any gamer

This is, hands down, the best dice app around. It is versitile yet simple and is perfect for any purpose, from board games to an infinite range of RPGs. Its high level of in-depth customization makes it perfect for anyones needs. If you have ever rolled a die you will love this app!

Best dice app on iphone i tried

This without contest the best dice roller i tred on the iphone. The amount of customization is fantastic. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars is the odd behavior of having dice jump up after they stop, but only when there are lots od dice rolled

Excellent dice rolling utility

A very powerful and customizable dice roller. It seems to be able to handle almost any situation I can throw at it, and its intricacies are easy to learn. Very useful, and I dont have to worry about looking under the couch for lost dice.

Fantastic D&D Tool

The Dicenomicon is a great tool for playing an impromptu game of D&D. Aside from on-the-fly dice rolls you can easily enter different formulas for each of your spells (eg 3d10 + Charisma modifier). The app also hosts a web-server that enables you to enter long formulas from a real keyboard, instead of trying to do it on the iPhone (this saves a lot of time). Overall, this is a great application and I would recommend it to anyone who plays a D&D-like game. Well worth the price.

Amazing Dice

Best utility for dice rolling. I have tried many of them. It worth every penny!

Decent but flawed

All in all a very good app, but design doesnt allow for easy switching between types of dice. For example; percentile dice and d6 dice are too far from each other on the scroll bar, so moving back and forth between the two is time consuming. Otherwise great app! Would be awesome if you could customize die scroll bar with dice of your choosing and combos of your own choosing.

Great but cludgy

This is a great little app. For those that want to edit formulas other than online however the interface is cludgy. It could all be forgiven if there was a simple undo button, but unfortunately you can lose a lot of work with a single misunderstanding of how the app is going to respond to your input.

Perhaps overly ambitious

Its very unstable and frequently slow. While the high degree of functionality and customizability is nice, its not even remotely user-friendly, and the help file isnt always very helpful. Expect to get very frustrated trying to learn to use it.

Very cool app with limitless potential

An extremely solid, customizable dice roller with full formula edit, macros and character sheets. The app has full system support for D&D4e and nWoD, but hopefully more systems (Savage Worlds! RQII!) will be added soon. Very happy with this app and looking forward to seeing what the developer and fans can put forward. CG7

Best Dice Roller for RPG Fans

Its not just dice! Fully customizable. Its a dice programming language. Lots of presets for existing game systems (Especially 3.5, 4E and WoD) Has all the weird dice you can think of (FUDGE) Automatically counts successes on success based systems (WoD, Shadowrun etc) In Final, best dice rolling app and best RPG assistant app, too.

I love this app

As an avid 4E player, this is an awesome app. Character sheets, very advanced formulas, etc make this app work wonderfully! Top rating

Robust program with awful UI

I think this program has a lot of potential if only I had a computer science degree. All of the formulas are made up of building block codes that cannot be broken up. This would be great if they werent presented in coding language. If you are not fluent in coding language, these blocks dont make sense and you cannot take them apart to see how they function. If youre going to use preset coding blocks where the user only has to enter in values, use common language. If youre going to use coding language, dont use preset coding blocks. Also, the help file is long winded and often either uninformative or inane (a dice rolling app with d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and more?! Wow! :| )
